Woohoo!
The weekend is almost here, just got back from a nice little lunch with my
dearest pal, and I'm zipping through work like there's no tomorrow! Not many
thoughts for today, other than that learning of June Carter Cash's death
surprised and saddened me... the other day I was thinking about Johnny Cash and
how sad I'd be when he passed because it was my first concert and in pretty
heavy rotation among the music I grew up with, so it was just a weird and
unfortunate coincidence to hear the sad news this morning. My dog Jackson was, of course, named after the
song and when he was being good we'd listen to it and dance around the
apartment trying to bond... my mom says he's doing incredibly well living up
north with them and the other dogs, which is good news. Seems that he and Tika like to bark at each other but if that's the worst of
his behavior then he's certainly much happier than he was living in an
apartment in Albany. I can't wait to see him again but
it's starting to sound like this move was good for him and that bringing him
back to live with me might not be in his best interest. As long as he's
happy... he's a good little dog who really deserves to be in a loving
environment; I'm sure that his destructive behavior probably came from living
in some less-than-ideal situations and I really wasn't able to spend the
one-on-one time with him that he so clearly needs.
And the
countdown to happy hour begins...
